Material Options
1. Galvanized Steel Wire: High-quality low-carbon steel wire (2.0mm-4.0mm diameter) with tensile strength ≥380Mpa. Hot-dip galvanized surface protection with coating weight up to 300g/m².
2. Galfan Steel Wire (Zn-5%Al): Superior corrosion resistance (3x traditional galvanization). 2.0mm-4.0mm diameter with tensile strength ≥380Mpa.
3. PVC Coated Galvanized Wire: Low-carbon steel with PVC/PE coating for enhanced protection in harsh environments. Available in various colors to blend with surroundings.
4. PVC Coated Galfan Wire: Combines galfan alloy benefits with PVC/PE coating for maximum durability in polluted environments.
Manufacturing Process
Our gabions are precision-woven using advanced techniques:
- Single-mold construction with inseparable edge, end, and bottom plates (except cover plates)
- Tolerance: ±5% for length/width/height dimensions
- Internal partitions every meter create independent units
- Modular assembly with spiral steel wire binding
- Reinforced edges using thicker wire for enhanced structural strength
Packaging & Shipping
Gabion panels are woven and folded into compact bundles, secured with binding belts for efficient container loading. Installation Guidelines
For optimal performance:
- Fill with 100-250mm rocks (5% size variation acceptable)
- Maximum rock size: 300mm; Minimum: 100mm
- Use hard, angular-to-round, durable rocks resistant to water/weathering
- Exercise care during stone placement to protect polymer coatings
- Hand-place visible face stones for aesthetic appearance
