Q2: How to choose from so many kinds of welded wire mesh materials for different applications?

Please refer to the above PRODUCT GRADES CHART. According to the difference of zinc coating and quality level, it can be classified into Grade I II III IV V VI from high to low. You can choose the right product according to your actual use.

Q3: Does Stainless Steel Welded Wire Mesh never get rusty?

Stainless steel welded wire mesh will rust under certain conditions. Stainless steel has the ability to resist atmospheric oxidation, i.e. rust resistance, but also has the ability to corrode in the medium containing acid, alkali and salt, i.e. corrosion resistance. However, the corrosion resistance of the steel varies with its chemical composition, additive state, service condition and environmental medium type.

For example, 304 stainless steel welded wire mesh has absolutely excellent corrosion resistance in dry and clean atmosphere, but when it is moved to the coastal area, it will soon rust in the sea fog containing a lot of salt, while 316 stainless steel welded wire mesh performs well. Therefore, not any kind of stainless steel welded wire mesh can resist corrosion in any environment. Stainless steel relies on its surface to form an extremely thin, firm, fine and stable chromium rich oxide film (protective film) to prevent the continuous infiltration and oxidation of oxygen atoms, so as to obtain corrosion resistance. Once there is some reason, the film is constantly damaged, oxygen atoms in the air or liquid will continue to penetrate or iron atoms in the metal will continue to separate out, forming loose iron oxide, and the metal surface will be constantly corroded.

In order to ensure that the metal surface of stainless steel welded wire mesh is permanently bright, the surface of stainless steel welded wire mesh must be cleaned and scrubbed frequently to remove the attachment and eliminate the external factors causing corrosion. In coastal areas, 316 stainless steel welded wire mesh should be used, which can resist seawater corrosion. Q4: What’s the difference between 304 316 and 304L 316L?

Stainless steel is a type of steel. Steel refers to steel containing less than 2% carbon (C) and more than 2% iron. The addition of chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), titanium (Ti), molybdenum (Mo) and other alloying elements in the smelting process improves the properties of the steel and makes the steel resistant to corrosion. 304 stainless steel: 304 stainless steel is the most common steel grade. As a kind of widely used steel, it has good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature strength and mechanical properties. Moreover, it has good property for hot working such as stamping and bending, without hardening in heat treatment (non-magnetic , the working temperature is -196 ° C ~ 800 ° C).
